When you have a starting value and a constant rate of change then it is possible to make useful predictions. In this unit we will explore different contexts in which two growth patterns are compared.  Each situation describes a comparison within one event, but it is possible to add an entire second event and make a cross comparison. We will explore budget comparisons and missile guided defense systems – these ideas should be expressed through sequence and equations models.
